Guys, farming is hard. | NBC
Pa revels in his bumper crop of wheat, making the classic mistake of counting his chickens before they hatch, when in rolls a wicked hail storm destroying everything. All wish list items, and Carrie, must be forgotten as Pa says goodbye and begins a 100 mile walk in search of work and wage.

Along the way he befriends two un-creatively named men and forms the "Fellowship of the Wheat". Together they journey to the quarries of Minnesota where they must prove their worth and become the best double jackers in the land if they want to secure prize money for their families before the looming winter storms and threat of starvation arrive at their doorsteps. Meanwhile, Ma rallies the Walnut Grove women folk together in a stirring battle to save the ravaged wheat fields.

Will Pa become the best double jacker in a matter of a few weeks? Will Ma save the day back on the homefront? Will Willa ever stop complaining? Will Amy, Julie, and Marissa solve the biggest mystery on Little House on the Prairie so far? Find out all of this and more on this week's episode.

Ma is good. She works hard. She cooks. She sews. She also has gorgeous teeth and is great at running her egg business. | NBC
Mary and Laura start school in Walnut Grove where they meet their arch-nemesis Nellie Oleson. Ma has a run in with Harriet Oleson, and she and Laura must strive to rise above. Laura struggles to write an essay for Visitors' Day that encompasses everything on her heart with words that only end in "at", and she ends up bringing the (one room school) house down with a performance that will tug at your heart strings. Will Marissa finally cry? Why do Mary and Laura wear weird hats when they sleep? Will we find out what causes some eggs to be double-yolked? Will Ed Sheeran make a controversial cameo? Find out all of this and more in these week's episode.
